Seed to Salve

~  Home Grown  ~  Hand Crafted  ~  Harmonically Tuned  ~
My passion for working with plants parallels my passion for working with people and their precious bodies. While at this stage I have many years of massage specific schooling, it started as an innate, intuitive skill. I needed to touch and feel muscles and experience their release in response to touch and directed intention.

My journey with the plants has been much the same. The plants inspire me and open me to an esthetic experience that feeds me and makes me want to co-create with them.

With my hands in oil much of my days, and learning over the years the subtleties of a good massage cream, (i.e. nourishing for the skin, a good glide to friction ratio, non-toxic, pleasing and subtle scent), I became very interested in trying my hand at creating my own.

With the help of my dear friends at Sage Mountain Center in Whitehall, MT, where I spent my weekends during the summer of 2015, I had access to many different medicinal plants and herbs. The combination of plants for ‘Seed To Salve’ was quickly apparent. Yarrow, Rosemary, Sage and Marjoram, all grown and cared for my dear friend Warren at Sage Mountain. I ventured to apply what I know about the planetary frequencies from my Acutonics studies to the plants and their needs. I now grow and tune the herbs in my home garden in Bozeman (with the exception of the marjoram as it seems to prefer living in the green house at Sage Mountain).

The salve making process is very organic for me, however the recipe is well established now. I infuse a combination of organic unrefined hemp oil and organic unrefined coconut oil with the herbs over low heat for several hours.

Next, I strain off all the oil and compost the spent herbs. At this stage, I journey to get centered and clear about the intention being brought forward through each batch of salve. Journeying is a tool I am deeply grateful for learning as a Seabhean Apprentice. I write down all of the gifts from my journey and hold the space for these intentions to come through with the assistance of the tuning forks and singing bowls.

From there, I add local bees wax, organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter and vitamin E. I then hand pour and add essential oils individually to each tin. They are a treasure. They are fantastic as a daily moisturizer, for massage, for dry skin, cracked heels, cuts, women’s moon cycle, self massage…

Salves are available in my online store and at my office:
